Both services are generally going to give you FREE movie channels for a predetermined amount of time for signing up with them, so that’s not exclusive to either company. They are also going to give you equipment “upgrades” for certain packages as well. Why they call them upgrades, we don’t know, because you then usually. If you get HD service, you need an HD receiver. When you get DVR service you need a DVR receiver. When you get HDDVR service you need a HDDVR. So please don’t be misled about the equipment. Just know that if you get HD or DVR service you will NOT be able to use the standard receiver from either company.
